Distance Education in the Philippines
In our current situation, most parents would agree that homeschooling is better and appropriate. As parents, we would first think about the welfare of our children. We wouldn't want them to be exposed to an environment that is not safe and healthy for them. We even don't know who are the carriers of the virus, so it is better to make our children stay at home. But some may worry how will distance education be effective if they don't have access to the internet?
That is why the Department of Education assured that the quality of distance education will not be compromised. Different learning approaches may be done depending on the schools. They may use internet, television, telephone or even a radio. They may use other printed materials to be distributed to every student.
The implementation of distance education in the Philippines will start later this August 2020. The Department of Education also guaranteed that the quality of distance learning will be delivered to every student.
